There is no meaningful deniable commitment scheme

This is a stupid question that I asked myself:
Can I commit to some value v to some intended party R while preserve the ability to trick someone else into believing that the commitment is on some other value?
For a secure commitment scheme, the answer is no. Because of the binding property.
What about a secure timed commitment scheme?
In such a scheme, the receiver can recover the commitment on its own after certain pre-determined time period T has passed. This only gives the committer the trivial ability to lie before T.
